Since 1980 stableisotopes have emerged as one of the primary tools for mangrove food web, structure, and dynamics analysis. This chapter presents (1) a 40 years reviewof mangrove food web research through stable isotopes data, and presents adiscussion focused on (2) the isotopic composition of mangrove basal resources,(3) carbon sources supporting mangrove food webs, (4) isotopic niche, (5)mangrove consumers’ trophic enrichment factors, and (6) the study ofanthropogenic impacts on mangrove food webs through stable isotope analysis.
