A general model of stock-recruitment relationship is constructed taking into account three kinds of natural mortality: density dependent, stock dependent or initial number of eggs dependent, and density independent. A biological interpretation of the General Model parameters and estimates of the three causes of natural mortality and mean fecundity are made. Analysis of the new stock-recruitment curves is included with applications to some fisheries.
