During November 2006 a time series was generated to (1) measure the daily grazing rates of one of the most frequent and abundant zooplankton species at a station in the ensenada de La Paz, as well as (2) studying the changes of the grazing related to the SST and chlorophyll a concentration. Experiments were carried out simulating natural conditions of SST (25-26 ºC). The grazing coefficient (g= Coef.Cons.·h-1) ranked from 0.005-0.04, phytoplankton growth coefficient (k= GrowthPhyto·h-1) from 0-0.01, clearance rate (F=ml·ind-1·h-1) from 0.09-0.59, and filtration rate (I=ChlaCons·ind-1·h-1) 0-2.02. Grazing rates decline along studied period, and showed great variability from day to day. The percentage of potential production removed was from 3 to 77%. Low values of grazing, clearance, and filtration rates, as well as phytoplankton growth coefficient during the experiment, showed no significant relation with SST and Chlorophyll a concentration. Natural chlorophyll abundance averaged 2.3 mg, and the SST 25.7 ºC. A. lilljeborgii grazing in the ensenada de La Paz showed an important variation despite of no significant changes or relationship with Chlorophyll a and SST. This suggests that quality of food, type of food item or suitability could be factors influenced the lowest grazing activity of the species during the experiment period
