In the search for ecologically friendly alternatives to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria, this study focused on identifying active extracts against agricultural phytopathoge nic bacteria from seven species of macroalgae collected on the coasts of Baja California Sur. Among the extracts evaluated, the ethanolic extract of Dictyopteris undulata showed outstanding results against Clavibacter michiganensis, Xanthomonas sp., Pseudomonas syringae, Pseudoxanthomonas sp., and Ralstonia solanacerum. This extract was fractionated using various chromatographic techniques guided by antibacterial bioassays, which allowed four active fractions to be obtained against R. solanacerum, Xanthomonas sp., and C. michiganensis. The fractions obtained were analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy, revealing the presence of functional groups such as OH, C=O, C=C, C=N, COOH, CH3, and CH2. The most active fraction was purified by HPLC, obtaining three compounds with antibacterial activity. For structural characterization will be used spectroscopic (NMR, FTIR, MS) and chemical techniques. The phytochemical analysis indicated the presence of polyphenols in the evaluated extracts. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determined for the most active fraction was 20 µg/mL against Ralstonia solanacerum and 10 µg/mL against Clavibacter michiganensis and Xanthomonas sp.
