In the aquaculture industry, one of the greatest challenges is the search for alternatives to control pathogenic bacteria. In this sense, natural products are a viable option to prevent or control these microorganisms. Ganoderma lucidum has been reported as a source of bioactive compounds, for which crude extracts were obtained in this study to evaluate its activity against bacteria of importance in aquaculture by broth microdilution. The Cl2CH2 extract showed activity against several of these strains (Vibrio, Salmonella, Listonella, Citrobacter, Streptococcus) so it was fractionated by chromatographic techniques. Crystals were obtained which are in process of structural identification, these showed moderate activity against most of the target strains, highlighting the activity against Vibrio parahaemolyticus, one of the main species that affects fish and shrimp cultures, generating an important economic loss for producers. G. lucidum inhibited more than 50% of the growth of this bacterium, so it could be a good alternative for its control. Study will continue with the purification and identification of the active compounds.
