A mesoparasitic copepod, Pennella filosa (L., 1758) (Copepoda: Pennellidae) were collected
from (lugares del cuerpo) of the striped marlín Kajikia audax (Collete, 2006) in fishing area
known as the Golden Gate, in November 13, 2013, and January 16, 2014. The records of
parasitic copepods of fish in Los Cabos area are scarce and recently being given more
importance, particularly as evident in game fish. In both months, the copepods were obtained
from females between 33 and 52 kg.
