Kirill Aksentov, Anatoly Astakhov y Evgueni Shumilin
A quantitative estimation of the accumulated mercury in the bottom sediments of the Peter the Great Gulf of the Sea of Japan in the last hundred years was studied. The sharp increase in its fluxes into the sediments is observed during the period of intensive industrial development of southerm Primorye of Russian Federatiom. Maximum quantities of mercury were accumulated near the city of Vladivostok.
